Elves are the mortal descendants of eladrin. Although mortal, they are characterized by prominent fey traits inherited from their ancestors.
Like eladrin, elves have light, graceful bodies, pointed ears, and natural magical talent. Elves are relatively androgynous: they wear their hair long, grow no facial hair, and lack pronounced sexual characteristics. There are subtle differences in body shape between the sexes, but it takes an elf to notice them.
Elves mature at a comparable rate to humans, but enjoy a considerably longer lifespan, of approximately 200 to 300 years.
Most elves belong to one of these two cultures. However, some elves are not affiliated with either culture, and instead live on their own or in human settlements such as Sigurdsholm.
